My son bought this bed for my granddaughter as she had outgrown her junior bed. We had seen something similar in a store close by, but the price was excessive and it didn’t even come with a mattress {this one also does not come with a mattress}.
The material of the bed is old wood, not composite, but real wood. It did take some time assembling the bed but it was worth it when my granddaughter opened her bedroom door and saw her bed.
There is so much space for storage in this bed. The added space in the drawers {on the stairs} is amazing. The play space under the bed can hold a lot of toys, my granddaughter playing and also myself.
